Brand Identity & Motion
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Being a designer has always motivated me to work in favour of a better society, I consider it my duty.
ABC Direito is a 23-episode educational Television Show that promotes citizenship through knowledge and information about law and civic rights.
Role
I was responsible for designing the brand’s main identity and graphic universe including infographic storyboards, segment bumpers, 3d elements, credits and a board game, stickers and t-shirts.
VISUAL IDENTITY
LOGOTYPE
As the show’s main objective is to simplify and demystify legal jargon, the obvious choice was to keep to the simplest of forms: a square a triangle and a circle would have to be enough to tell our stories during the course of the program.
Underlining a text is a familiar act that we associate with school and learning. This became our starting point for the building of the logo. The title of the show was cut into smaller elements that could be rearranged; we just adopted some simple rules such as having to be read from left to right to keep good readability.

SEGMENT BUMPERS
Different segments are announced using segment bumpers. These are present in all episodes. Using the shapes and colours defined by the brand ecosystem, each bumper responds to a particular reading game.

Each of the 23 episodes includes an infographic segment with an average duration of 2 minutes, resulting in a total of over 700 boards covering themes such Parenthood, National Health System and Emigration.
